Even though hi-tech for their time, the original books and films seem nowadays pretty low-tech. That is one of the reasons the new films ie. Goldeneye, Tomorrow never dies and The world is not enough when it comes out, all are to ultra modern. Who would have even imagined a grenade in a pen. The clasicness of the type of ultra-English agent made books and early films what they are. Like in 'From Russia with Love' in Bond's briefcase fifty gold soveriegns are concealed. That is just how if you asked any foveriegn person to describe an english agent in the 50's thats what the description they gave you would be like. A classic English-man. | ||||||||||||||||
